The Anacostia community reflects on the importance of the American Graduate Digital Media Arts Club (dMAC) program at the Anacostia Neighborhood Library.
The Digital Media Arts Club (dMAC) continued the American Graduate project through the summer youth media and leadership training programs at the Anacostia Neighborhood Public Library and Columbia Heights Recreation Center in partnership with DC Public Library, Guerilla Arts and Hands on the Future.
American Graduate Fellow Tyrell Vaughn led the six-week workshops at both the library and Columbia Heights locations with students from the Anacostia and Ballou Senior High School dMACs and the surrounding community.
The students will be posting new video projects soon.

In “Education Talk Back – Bullying” Digital Media Arts Club students at Ballou High School discuss the effects of bullying.
“Education Talk Back” is a series of discussions with DC students about the challenges in their schools, families and communities. These challenges are some of the reasons why students are dropping out of school.
This is what could happen when you don’t stay in school.
