Anacostia Represents @ WHUT!

On Nov. 30th, students from the Academies at Anacostia and SEED Charter school served as the special studio audience for the new teen talk show What’s Good, DC? Here are some photos taken from that day. You can see more here.

The students from Anacostia impressed everyone. I was in the control room for much of the taping (three shows in one day, wow) and WHUT producers and Public Media Corps members and directors commented on how Anacostia students handles themselves so well and asked great questions of guests Pat Harrison, president of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting; Dwayne Lawson, president of Metro TeenAIDS, and Dr. Manes Pierre, a conflict resolution expert who works with teens.

Everyone should be proud of themselves for being so engaged, for being so impressive and for being such good sports on such a long day of taping. I know I am.
